What information do we process?
The website does not require an account and uses no analytics or advertising tracking. The game may process your chosen display name, a randomly generated player identity and access token, game progress, unlocked levels, best scores, Golden Tiles, leaderboard position and technical timestamps.
Why do we use this information?
We use this information to save and resume your game, unlock levels, maintain a fair leaderboard, prevent duplicate scores and protect the reliability and security of the service.
Information stored on your device
We store your language preference locally in your browser. The game can also store an anonymous player token and game state locally so you can resume. We do not use tracking cookies. Logging out removes the local player identity but does not automatically delete server-side progress.
Leaderboard
Your chosen display name, reached level and score may be publicly visible on the leaderboard. Do not use personal or sensitive information as your display name.
Technical server logs
Our web server records standard access and error logs. These may contain your IP address, time, requested URL, HTTP status, transferred data, referring page and browser information. The current server setting rotates these logs daily and keeps up to 14 rotated log files. Hosting-provider backups may have separate retention periods.
Email and app stores
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you provide so we can answer you. Apple and Google process information under their own privacy policies when you use their stores.
Retention, deletion and your rights
We keep player information only for as long as needed to provide the game, leaderboard and security. You may request access, correction or deletion by emailing info@mahjongofamsterdam.com. We may ask for your player identity or token to verify that the data belongs to you.
